Empowering Namibian Entrepreneurs

The SME Fund aims to strengthen the sustainability, competitiveness, and growth potential of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Namibia through entrepreneurship support, ecosystem strengthening, strategic partnerships, and enterprise development interventions aligned with national development priorities and inclusive economic growth objectives.

The Fund forms part of the broader ProSME Project implemented by Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board in partnership with the National Planning Commission and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

Target Beneficiaries

The Fund is open to Namibian-registered Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with an annual turnover of up to N$10 million, as defined in the National Informal Economy, Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (NIESED) Policy.

The SME Fund is an initiative designed to support Namibian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through funding and business support services that promote growth, innovation, competitiveness, and job creation.

  • Applications Open: 10 June 2026
  • Applications Close: 24 July 2026

Late applications will not be considered.

Applicants must:

  • Be formally registered and compliant with relevant authorities, including BIPA and NAMRA.
  • Be at least 51% Namibian-owned.
  • Have been operating for at least one (1) year.
  • Have a functional business bank account.
  • Demonstrate a viable and sustainable business model.
  • Show evidence of business activity through an existing product, service, or prototype.

Businesses classified as Micro, Small, or Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) may apply:
